Todd Hingson, Esq.
Todd Hingson, Esq. is a 1996 Honors graduate from the University of Florida. While at UF, he served as a member of the Florida Cicerones (UF’s Official Student Ambassadors), he was an active member and officer in Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, and he was inducted into Florida Blue Key (the State of Florida’s oldest and most prestigious collegiate leadership honorary). Mr. Hingson attended Mississippi College School of Law, where he was elected Chief Justice of the Honor Court and was an award-winning member of the school’s Moot Court Team. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi College School of Law in 2000.
Mr. Hingson served the bulk of the first decade of his career as an Assistant State Attorney at the State Attorney’s Office in the Eighth and Third Judicial Circuits in North Central Florida. Mr. Hingson prosecuted thousands of cases as a Prosecutor including juvenile cases, misdemeanors, criminal traffic cases, and felonies. In his last 5 years with the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Hingson served as a Division Chief, with primary responsibility for handling Special Prosecution cases, including homicides, child sex offenses, and sexual batteries. Mr. Hingson obtained a 94% jury trial conviction rate as a Prosecutor.
Mr. Hingson served four years as an Officer in the Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association, culminating with his term as President in 2008-09. In 2009, Mr. Hingson transitioned to a career in civil litigation. Since, he has exclusively represented Plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. As a Plaintiff’s civil litigation attorney, Mr. Hingson has been involved in the successful resolution of cases for clients resulting in numerous six and seven-figure settlements. He has also tried civil cases involving serious injury and death before a jury. Mr. Hingson is a member of the Bar in Florida, Tennessee and the District of Columbia.
